My grandma would always drag me to the cottage whether it be to visit friends or clean the property. It was a frequent part of my life as a kid. Though as age progresses, distance pursues. Visits became sparse. People that I used to know well became strangers. This once called 'haven' has become another world; one where I peer into as an outsider.

This project explores the connection I once had with the property and community surrounding it. Through photographing prominent landscapes and overlaying them with found photographs of the area (dated from 1980's to present). I hope to embrace the lively hood the community once had while also taking a step back and observing the current lack of communal presence.
